Direct Connect

Direct Connect is a P2P filesharing protocol. The original client could at one time be found at neo-modus.com, but now nearly everyone uses other clients. There is a wiki devoted to documenting the Direct Connect protocol, which includes a list of clients.

Direct Connect "hubs" listen on TCP port 411 by default, but often use other ports.

l7-filter uses the directconnect pattern. It has been lightly tested.

IPP2P can match Direct Connect with the --dc option.
