iMesh is a P2P application. Depending on the version, it uses some combination of Fasttrack, Gnutella, eDonkey and its own protocol. This page documents the latter.

Logins are conducted over an HTTP to wa.imesh.com. iMesh downloads "premium" content — content not coming from peers — from imsh.download-prod.musicnet.com using HTTP.

[edit] l7-filter

l7-filter uses the imesh pattern. Some users have reported that using this pattern with the kernel version of l7-filter crashes the system.
