Telnet
From Protocolinfo
Telnet is an insecure remote text-based login protocol, as defined in RFC 854. Telnet used to be very popular, but today most organizations have switched to SSH for security reasons. Some servers still run telnet for non-authenticated purposes, such as for browsing public databases or viewing ASCII-art hacks.
