[edit] Ports
VNC servers listen on TCP port 5900 by default. The second VNC server on a single computer will run on port 5901, the third on 5902, and so on.
[edit] l7-filter
l7-filter uses the vnc pattern. It has been tested with vnc v3.3.7 on Windows XP and Linux.

(Wikipedia considers VNC to be the program and RFB to be the protocol. It is not clear whether this distinction is universally made.)
